Downham Village part of the Assheton estate owned by Lord and Lady Clitheroe. A popular location for filming period dramas like Born and Bred starring James Bolam and the film Whistle Down The Wind with Hayley Mills.

Pendle Hill and Newchurch in Pendle famous for its witches Old Mother Demdike and Alice Nutter and more and written about in the book Mist Over Pendle.

Whalley Abbey standing on the banks of the River Calder formerly The Cistercian Abbey of Stanlow in Cheshire which moved to Whalley in 1296.

Idyllic Villages such as Slaidburn, Chipping, Dunsop Bridge, Waddington (winner of best kept village on many occasions) Bashall Barn food visitor centre with its own brewery.
